The construction of an iconic state of the art Terminal and Operations Building forming the centrepiece of the re-development of Farnborough Airport by TAG Aviation. The building received an RIBA award in 2006 for its innovative design without a high end budget. The scheme was delivered on time, within budget and was accident free.
Scope of Works:
Natta was appointed trade package contractor involving the enabling works, service diversions,
construction of the foundations, curved reinforced concrete internal core and floors, together with drainage and
services. In addition Natta provided all external parking, extended apron areas for aircraft parking and hard
landscaping utilising flamed finish Carlow Blue limestone imported from Ireland.
Following the successful completion of the project Natta was appointed Term Maintenance Contractor for all civil engineering works both "Airside and Landside". These works involve night working to avoid closure of runways and flying operations.
