The redevelopment of the town centre including shops and residential. Working within tight constraints requiring co-ordinating of the works with Surrey CC, Laing O’Rourke, Crest Nicholson and a multitude of other sub contractors to reach the target dates set.
Scope of Works:
The project involved the underpinning of existing high street commercial properties reduced level dig and muck away.
The drainage and services works included 3.5m deep drainage including connections, gully connections, ACO channel, landscape drain, adoptable and
private drainage in castiron, clay and plastic, manhole chambers in PPC, brickwork and PPIC. Excavation works for gas, electric and water board.
BT, street lighting, traffic light and CCTV ducting in roads and footpaths. RC CCTV and lighting column bases. Installation of service pits.
External works included the traffic management set up. Resurfacing and construction of existing A30 London Road and adjacent roads and footpaths.
Implementation of traffic calming schemes and signal works, block paving and slabs and landscaping. Installation of pedestrian barriers and new
road signage. The construction of two new pedestrian crossings. Road markings and hot applied anti skid material.
