The complete construction of an Infrastructure of Roads and Services Network for a community of 2000 new homes. One unique feature was the requirement that all major distributor roads were fully completed before house building work commenced.
Scope of Works:
Natta was initially appointed enabling works contractor to facilitate the grounding of unsightly HV
transmission lines and the removal of pylons. Following the successful completion of those operations Natta was appointed civil
engineering contractor for the next 3 phases. The works involved bulk earthworks and filling. Well point dewatering to large sections
of peat bog and deep drainage. Laying approximately 3 kms of water main and associated services. The creation of Turners Pond
with timber footbridge, spillways and landscaping. Building a number of swales, water courses and Precast concrete box culverts
to divert existing water courses.
The construction of 3 reptile hibernacula's. The provision of all roads, footpaths and cycle ways. Specialist protection works to a
number of existing foul rising main. Sheet piled abutments and the construction of a new bridge. The
laying of thousands of metres of storm and foul water drainage together with associated pumping stations and rising mains.
