The contract comprised all associated ground works for a number of new housing, teaching and administration buildings on the Immigration Removal Centre, that was built as a Category B prison with a holding capacity of 313.
Scope of Works:
Natta successfully completed the drainage, foundations and external works.
The facility provided 313 places and included short term stay facilities.
The structure comprised pre-cast panels mounted on reinforcement starter bars cast in to the substructure with small
positional tolerance. Work included bulk muck shift and placing of piling mat to all building areas.
Removal of contaminated 'hot spots'. Installing sheet pile protection around trunk sewer prior to piling operations
and a fully tanked car park with permeable paving bays. Concrete foundations including locator bars for the
precast walls put in to 5mm tolerance. Installation of storm water retention system and fibreglass hydrant tanks,
inside fully supported sheet piled temporary works. Connection into existing foul water main and
creation of storm water drainage swale with petrol interceptor. Installation of service ducts.
Kerbing and preparation for roads and paved areas. Landscaping and tree pit excavation with ancillary drainage.
