This bespoke residence on the St. Georges Hill development included a waterproof basement in very challenging ground requiring extensive sheet piling and propping. The structure included circular cast in-situ concrete walls, pool in the basement and pumped drainage out to the main sewer. Working room was at a premium on this site and muck had to be stockpiled for the backfill operation resulting in logistics having to be carefully planned for the works to progress smoothly.
Scope of Works:
Natta were employed as the groundwork contractors. The project work involved the construction of a basement with
curved walls (using waterproof concrete) and the construction of a swimming pool. Extensive temporary works due to the poor ground
conditions and all associated drainage and services.
