Our contract comprised all associated ground works for a block of flats adjacent to the mainline train track in to Waterloo Station, including the line for the Eurostar.
Scope of Works:
This project required a practical understanding of working adjacent to a live railway, knowledge Natta
have from previous contracts working on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link. With our knowledge of Rail works we were able to suggest
suitable methodologies to the Client for sections of their work that saved them time and money. Our work included the vegetation
removal, rubbish clearance and reduced level dig for site. Piling mat construction and pile attendance. Reinforced concrete ground
beams and pile caps. Block and beam flooring for ground floor slab. Storm and foul drainage throughout the site, along with connecting
in to a live sewer in the public carriageway at 3m depth plus reinstatement of the same. Installation of storm water attenuation tank.
Construction of reinforced concrete frame section of the building, with all falsework and shuttering. Construction of tarmac car parks
and accesses. Finishing works including block paving, gravel margins, topsoil and slabbing.
