Summary: Our contract comprised all associated ground works for a new build mess hall, a vehicle maintenance facility and a vehicle wash bay in a busy military barracks.

Scope of Works:

This project required an immediate start with little notice so Pierse contacted Natta knowing of our flexibility and quick response from previous successfully completed jobs for the Project Manager. We worked around a set of rates which were agreed quickly to enable us to start on site within a week of agreement. The initial mess building was added to with a vehicle maintenance block and vehicle wash facility, all successfully completed within the required timescales.

Our work included:-

• Site strip and pile cap formation in the in-situ layered rock.
• Reinforced concrete ground beams and slabs for the buildings, with approximately 1250 m2 of powerfloat finish.
• Installation of holding down bolts for the steel super structure.
• Laying of more than 1 kilometre of foul drainage in clay, with a similar amount of storm drainage completed in plastic.
• Trenching, marking and backfill of just over 1km of trench for electrical and data services.
• Installation of numerous service ducts throughout site.
• Connection of foul and storm water drainage in to the local networks at 5 locations in a variety of connection details. More than 200m of channel drainage and installation of 2 number petrol interceptor tanks.
• Reinforced slab, brush finished to falls for the vehicle wash bays and associated deep water storage tanks for water recycling.
• All kerbing and concrete works for a concrete bay access road.
• Finishing works including block paving, gravel margins, topsoil and slabbing.
