Project: Sussex Road, Haywards Heath
Client: Botes
Project
Value: £0.5 m
Duration: 3 months
Summary: Our contract comprised the groundworks and 3 story reinforced concrete frame for a mixed use development in the centre of Haywards Heath.
Scope of Works:
In a highly confined site
Natta completed the pile caps and built a reinforced concrete frame in an
unusual shape to suit the triangular shape of the site which was positioned
between two busy roads. The reinforced concrete frame included circular arches
and in situ staircases, all completed to an excellent quality due to minimal
decorating in the ground floor for use as a Tesco metro store. The upper floors
were fitted out as luxury apartments.
Our work included:-
Filling and levelling site.
Pile caps, up to 3m in depth to take foundation back to undisturbed
ground.
Reinforced concrete crane base complete with cast in crane frame to
tight positional and level tolerances.
Reinforced concrete columns and frame, cast with full protection to
the leading edge at all times. Drop beams set up and cast integrally with
the slab to improve the finish quality of the works.
Storm and foul drainage throughout site, along with connecting in to
a live sewer in the public carriageway at 2m depth plus reinstatement of the
same.
Installation of waterproofing and footings for the blockwork walls.
